Among the lush gardens that recall the typical nature of the Mexican state of Yucatan are the Chablé Hotel's 38 luxury cabanas. The establishment has been considered the best in the world when it obtains the Prix Versailles 2017 , awarded by the International Union of Architects and which have been delivered at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
The hotel, created by the Mexicans Jorge Borja and Paulina Morán, has received the award for its interior and exterior design. It is a unique space for its architecture, which is located around a typical cenote (underground fresh water lagoon) of this region.
The establishment, located in a farm of henequenes - a plant derived from pita - offers, among other services, the possibility of tasting the dishes of chef Jorge Vallejo , whose restaurant is ranked number 12 of the 50 best in the world .
The Prix Versailles award the best architecture of hotels, restaurants and boutiques from around the world. Among the winners in this edition is also the Mexican hotel Mar Adentro, which is located in San José del Cabo (Baja California Sur) and has received the Special Prize for its exterior architecture.
